The 19th century played a constitutive role for the emergence of a new form of Judeophobia and became an ideological laboratory for anti-Semites from various countries. These communicated with each other and, at times, even tried to set up an "anti-Semitic International". The contributors deal with this international dimension, which had been neglected by researchers for a long time, and address the political, economic, social as well as cultural aspects of anti-Semitism in the "long" 19th century.
