This study looks at the manifestations of this concept in Germany, where politics and society are still confronted with the legacy of Nazism. The author sets out to examine whether no-go-areas actually exist in Germany, and if they do, to look at how life in them is organised, how they are accepted by majority society, and how these activities are supported (or initiated) by the NPD, a German right-wing extremist party. In the region of former East Germany in particular there has been an increase in support for neo-Nazism as an extreme reaction to the deteriorating economic and social situation. Studies have shown that in this region more and more citizens are sinking into the ‘modernisation trap’, and as a result right-wing extremism and neo-Nazism are gaining more and lok: 45167759 3 exp: 45167759 3 1 #EPN 201B/01 $025-02-21 $t23:02:59.004 201C/01 $025-02-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01144109361 208@/01 $a25-02-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttp://www.ssoar.info/ssoar/handle/document/6549 $XH lok: 45167759 5 exp: 45167759 5 1 #EPN 201B/01 $025-02-21 $t23:02:59.011 201C/01 $025-02-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0114410937X 208@/01 $a25-02-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttp://www.ssoar.info/ssoar/handle/document/6549 $XH lok: 45167759 8 exp: 45167759 8 1 #EPN 201B/01 $025-02-21 $t23:02:59.019 201C/01 $025-02-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01144109388 208@/01 $a25-02-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttp://www.ssoar.info/ssoar/handle/document/6549 $XH lok: 45167759 10 exp: 45167759 10 1 #EPN 201B/01 $025-02-21 $t23:02:59.026 201C/01 $025-02-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01144109396 208@/01 $a25-02-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttp://www.ssoar.info/ssoar/handle/document/6549 $XH lok: 45167759 11 exp: 45167759 11 1 #EPN 201B/01 $025-02-21 $t23:02:59.032 201C/01 $025-02-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0114410940X 208@/01 $a25-02-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttp://www.ssoar.info/ssoar/handle/document/6549 $XH lok: 45167759 20 exp: 45167759 20 1 #EPN 201B/01 $025-02-21 $t23:02:59.042 201C/01 $025-02-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01144109418 208@/01 $a25-02-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttp://www.ssoar.info/ssoar/handle/document/6549 $XH lok: 45167759 21 exp: 45167759 21 1 #EPN 201B/01 $025-02-21 $t23:02:59.050 201C/01 $025-02-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01144109426 208@/01 $a25-02-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttp://www.ssoar.info/ssoar/handle/document/6549 $XH lok: 45167759 23 exp: 45167759 23 1 #EPN 201B/01 $025-02-21 $t23:02:59.057 201C/01 $025-02-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01144109434 208@/01 $a25-02-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttp://www.ssoar.info/ssoar/handle/document/6549 $XH lok: 45167759 24 exp: 45167759 24 1 #EPN 201B/01 $025-02-21 $t23:02:59.065 201C/01 $025-02-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01144109442 208@/01 $a25-02-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttp://www.ssoar.info/ssoar/handle/document/6549 $XH lok: 45167759 25 exp: 45167759 25 1 #EPN 201B/01 $025-02-21 $t23:02:59.074 201C/01 $025-02-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01144109450 208@/01 $a25-02-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttp://www.ssoar.info/ssoar/handle/document/6549 $XH lok: 45167759 36 exp: 45167759 36 1 #EPN 201B/01 $002-06-25 $t23:35:33.124 201C/01 $002-06-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01305081390 208@/01 $a02-06-25 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttp://www.ssoar.info/ssoar/handle/document/6549 $XH lok: 45167759 49 exp: 45167759 49 1 #EPN 201B/01 $025-02-21 $t23:02:59.080 201C/01 $025-02-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01144109469 208@/01 $a25-02-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttp://www.ssoar.info/ssoar/handle/document/6549 $XH lok: 45167759 54 exp: 45167759 54 1 #EPN 201B/01 $025-02-21 $t23:02:59.091 201C/01 $025-02-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01144109485 208@/01 $a25-02-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttp://www.ssoar.info/ssoar/handle/document/6549 $XH lok: 45167759 108 exp: 45167759 108 1 #EPN 201B/01 $025-02-21 $t23:02:59.103 201C/01 $025-02-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01144109507 208@/01 $a25-02-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttp://www.ssoar.info/ssoar/handle/document/6549 $XH lok: 45167759 204 exp: 45167759 204 1 #EPN 201B/01 $025-02-21 $t23:02:59.109 201C/01 $025-02-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01144109515 208@/01 $a25-02-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttp://www.ssoar.info/ssoar/handle/document/6549 $XH lok: 45167759 205 exp: 45167759 205 1 #EPN 201B/01 $025-02-21 $t23:02:59.117 201C/01 $025-02-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01144109523 208@/01 $a25-02-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttp://www.ssoar.info/ssoar/handle/document/6549 $XH
