The theoretical framework proposed below rests on a differentiation of five ideal-type levels of state disposal of technology, indicating a state's position in the order of space powers. These levels of control are utilisation, participation, cooperation, autonomy, and monopoly. The relevance of these levels of control lies in the corresponding distribution of distinct costs (political, socioeconomic and symbolic) and their domestic and/or international repercussions. Variations in national investment and activity across military and dual-use space technologies are caused by three types of variables: 1) the availability and attractiveness of utilisation, participation and cooperation options, 2) the amount of political, soci lok: 45168051 3 exp: 45168051 3 1 #EPN 201B/01 $002-03-21 $t22:56:22.640 201C/01 $002-03-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0114490739X 208@/01 $a02-03-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttp://www.ssoar.info/ssoar/handle/document/21835 $XH lok: 45168051 5 exp: 45168051 5 1 #EPN 201B/01 $002-03-21 $t22:56:22.659 201C/01 $002-03-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01144907403 208@/01 $a02-03-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttp://www.ssoar.info/ssoar/handle/document/21835 $XH lok: 45168051 8 exp: 45168051 8 1 #EPN 201B/01 $002-03-21 $t22:56:22.665 201C/01 $002-03-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01144907411 208@/01 $a02-03-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttp://www.ssoar.info/ssoar/handle/document/21835 $XH lok: 45168051 10 exp: 45168051 10 1 #EPN 201B/01 $002-03-21 $t22:56:22.671 201C/01 $002-03-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0114490742X 208@/01 $a02-03-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttp://www.ssoar.info/ssoar/handle/document/21835 $XH lok: 45168051 11 exp: 45168051 11 1 #EPN 201B/01 $002-03-21 $t22:56:22.680 201C/01 $002-03-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01144907438 208@/01 $a02-03-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttp://www.ssoar.info/ssoar/handle/document/21835 $XH lok: 45168051 20 exp: 45168051 20 1 #EPN 201B/01 $002-03-21 $t22:56:22.686 201C/01 $002-03-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01144907446 208@/01 $a02-03-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttp://www.ssoar.info/ssoar/handle/document/21835 $XH lok: 45168051 21 exp: 45168051 21 1 #EPN 201B/01 $002-03-21 $t22:56:22.692 201C/01 $002-03-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01144907454 208@/01 $a02-03-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttp://www.ssoar.info/ssoar/handle/document/21835 $XH lok: 45168051 23 exp: 45168051 23 1 #EPN 201B/01 $002-03-21 $t22:56:22.697 201C/01 $002-03-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01144907462 208@/01 $a02-03-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttp://www.ssoar.info/ssoar/handle/document/21835 $XH lok: 45168051 24 exp: 45168051 24 1 #EPN 201B/01 $002-03-21 $t22:56:22.703 201C/01 $002-03-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01144907470 208@/01 $a02-03-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttp://www.ssoar.info/ssoar/handle/document/21835 $XH lok: 45168051 25 exp: 45168051 25 1 #EPN 201B/01 $002-03-21 $t22:56:22.709 201C/01 $002-03-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01144907489 208@/01 $a02-03-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttp://www.ssoar.info/ssoar/handle/document/21835 $XH lok: 45168051 36 exp: 45168051 36 1 #EPN 201B/01 $003-06-25 $t23:32:40.855 201C/01 $003-06-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01305104552 208@/01 $a03-06-25 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttp://www.ssoar.info/ssoar/handle/document/21835 $XH lok: 45168051 49 exp: 45168051 49 1 #EPN 201B/01 $002-03-21 $t22:56:22.715 201C/01 $002-03-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01144907497 208@/01 $a02-03-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttp://www.ssoar.info/ssoar/handle/document/21835 $XH lok: 45168051 54 exp: 45168051 54 1 #EPN 201B/01 $002-03-21 $t22:56:22.726 201C/01 $002-03-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01144907519 208@/01 $a02-03-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttp://www.ssoar.info/ssoar/handle/document/21835 $XH lok: 45168051 108 exp: 45168051 108 1 #EPN 201B/01 $002-03-21 $t22:56:22.738 201C/01 $002-03-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01144907535 208@/01 $a02-03-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttp://www.ssoar.info/ssoar/handle/document/21835 $XH lok: 45168051 204 exp: 45168051 204 1 #EPN 201B/01 $002-03-21 $t22:56:22.744 201C/01 $002-03-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01144907543 208@/01 $a02-03-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttp://www.ssoar.info/ssoar/handle/document/21835 $XH lok: 45168051 205 exp: 45168051 205 1 #EPN 201B/01 $002-03-21 $t22:56:22.749 201C/01 $002-03-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01144907551 208@/01 $a02-03-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttp://www.ssoar.info/ssoar/handle/document/21835 $XH
