In such environments, mobilities are enabled and rigidly channelled premised on the stasis of the port-as-checkpoint. Such nodes are part of an ever-growing political geography of zones that requires more attention. This article proposes a 'topolographical' approach - a combined heuristic drawing from political topography and topology - to comprehend more fully the transformations in the political geographies of large-scale infrastructures. The cardinal nature of the port of Dar es Salaam makes it a crucial site through which to illustrate the purchase of this framework. The topographical analysis puts forward the port of Dar as archipelago of global territories, within which heterogeneous actors claim graduated authority. Drawing on topology, the article shows what is folded into the port, constantly shaping not only who governs but, more importantly, how power and authority are lok: 45182068 3 exp: 45182068 3 1 #EPN 201B/01 $018-02-21 $t23:12:41.503 201C/01 $018-02-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01142250849 208@/01 $a18-02-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.ssoar.info/ssoar/handle/document/56657 $XH lok: 45182068 5 exp: 45182068 5 1 #EPN 201B/01 $018-02-21 $t23:44:01.000 201C/01 $018-02-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01142250857 208@/01 $a18-02-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.ssoar.info/ssoar/handle/document/56657 $XH lok: 45182068 8 exp: 45182068 8 1 #EPN 201B/01 $018-02-21 $t23:12:41.518 201C/01 $018-02-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01142250865 208@/01 $a18-02-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.ssoar.info/ssoar/handle/document/56657 $XH lok: 45182068 10 exp: 45182068 10 1 #EPN 201B/01 $018-02-21 $t23:12:41.527 201C/01 $018-02-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01142250873 208@/01 $a18-02-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.ssoar.info/ssoar/handle/document/56657 $XH lok: 45182068 11 exp: 45182068 11 1 #EPN 201B/01 $018-02-21 $t23:12:41.533 201C/01 $018-02-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01142250881 208@/01 $a18-02-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.ssoar.info/ssoar/handle/document/56657 $XH lok: 45182068 20 exp: 45182068 20 1 #EPN 201B/01 $018-02-21 $t23:12:41.540 201C/01 $018-02-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0114225089X 208@/01 $a18-02-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.ssoar.info/ssoar/handle/document/56657 $XH lok: 45182068 21 exp: 45182068 21 1 #EPN 201B/01 $018-02-21 $t23:12:41.547 201C/01 $018-02-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01142250903 208@/01 $a18-02-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.ssoar.info/ssoar/handle/document/56657 $XH lok: 45182068 23 exp: 45182068 23 1 #EPN 201B/01 $018-02-21 $t23:12:41.553 201C/01 $018-02-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01142250911 208@/01 $a18-02-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.ssoar.info/ssoar/handle/document/56657 $XH lok: 45182068 24 exp: 45182068 24 1 #EPN 201B/01 $018-02-21 $t23:12:41.561 201C/01 $018-02-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0114225092X 208@/01 $a18-02-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.ssoar.info/ssoar/handle/document/56657 $XH lok: 45182068 25 exp: 45182068 25 1 #EPN 201B/01 $018-02-21 $t23:12:41.567 201C/01 $018-02-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01142250938 208@/01 $a18-02-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.ssoar.info/ssoar/handle/document/56657 $XH lok: 45182068 36 exp: 45182068 36 1 #EPN 201B/01 $029-05-25 $t02:32:56.126 201C/01 $029-05-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01304994856 208@/01 $a29-05-25 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.ssoar.info/ssoar/handle/document/56657 $XH lok: 45182068 49 exp: 45182068 49 1 #EPN 201B/01 $018-02-21 $t23:12:41.621 201C/01 $018-02-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01142250946 208@/01 $a18-02-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.ssoar.info/ssoar/handle/document/56657 $XH lok: 45182068 54 exp: 45182068 54 1 #EPN 201B/01 $018-02-21 $t23:12:41.642 201C/01 $018-02-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01142250962 208@/01 $a18-02-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.ssoar.info/ssoar/handle/document/56657 $XH lok: 45182068 108 exp: 45182068 108 1 #EPN 201B/01 $018-02-21 $t23:12:41.663 201C/01 $018-02-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01142250989 208@/01 $a18-02-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.ssoar.info/ssoar/handle/document/56657 $XH lok: 45182068 204 exp: 45182068 204 1 #EPN 201B/01 $018-02-21 $t23:12:41.669 201C/01 $018-02-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01142250997 208@/01 $a18-02-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.ssoar.info/ssoar/handle/document/56657 $XH lok: 45182068 205 exp: 45182068 205 1 #EPN 201B/01 $018-02-21 $t23:12:41.677 201C/01 $018-02-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01142251004 208@/01 $a18-02-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.ssoar.info/ssoar/handle/document/56657 $XH
