Among Karlinsky's full-length works are major studies of Marina Tsvetaeva and Nikolai Gogol, Russian Drama from Its Beginnings to the Age of Pushkin; editions of Anton Chekhov's letters; writings by Russian émigrés; and correspondence between Vladimir Nabokov and Edmund Wilson. Karlinsky also wrote frequently for professional journals and mainstream publications like the New York Times Book Review and the Nation. The present volume is the first collection of such shorter writings, spanning more than three decades. It includes twenty-seven essays on literary topics and fourteen on music, seven of which have been newly translated from the Russian originals. lok: 46049013 3 exp: 46049013 3 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-03-20 $t22:51:24.816 201C/01 $004-03-20 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01085090116 208@/01 $a04-03-20 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/j.ctt1zxsk34 $XH lok: 46049013 5 exp: 46049013 5 1 #EPN 201B/01 $018-02-22 $t18:40:37.856 201C/01 $018-02-22 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01183100612 208@/01 $a18-02-22 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/j.ctt1zxsk34 $XH lok: 46049013 8 exp: 46049013 8 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-03-20 $t22:51:24.832 201C/01 $004-03-20 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01085090124 208@/01 $a04-03-20 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/j.ctt1zxsk34 $XH lok: 46049013 10 exp: 46049013 10 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-03-20 $t22:51:24.844 201C/01 $004-03-20 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01085090132 208@/01 $a04-03-20 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/j.ctt1zxsk34 $XH lok: 46049013 11 exp: 46049013 11 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-03-25 $t23:40:28.478 201C/01 $004-03-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01294468561 208@/01 $a04-03-25 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/j.ctt1zxsk34 $XH lok: 46049013 13 exp: 46049013 13 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-03-25 $t23:40:28.492 201C/01 $004-03-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0129446857X 208@/01 $a04-03-25 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/j.ctt1zxsk34 $XH lok: 46049013 21 exp: 46049013 21 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-03-20 $t22:51:24.868 201C/01 $004-03-20 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01085090159 208@/01 $a04-03-20 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/j.ctt1zxsk34 $XH lok: 46049013 23 exp: 46049013 23 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-03-20 $t22:51:24.882 201C/01 $004-03-20 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01085090167 208@/01 $a04-03-20 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/j.ctt1zxsk34 $XH lok: 46049013 24 exp: 46049013 24 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-03-25 $t23:40:28.494 201C/01 $004-03-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01294468588 208@/01 $a04-03-25 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/j.ctt1zxsk34 $XH lok: 46049013 25 exp: 46049013 25 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-03-20 $t22:51:24.899 201C/01 $004-03-20 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01085090175 208@/01 $a04-03-20 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/j.ctt1zxsk34 $XH lok: 46049013 51 exp: 46049013 51 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-03-25 $t23:40:28.497 201C/01 $004-03-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01294468596 208@/01 $a04-03-25 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/j.ctt1zxsk34 $XH lok: 46049013 76 exp: 46049013 76 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-03-25 $t23:40:28.502 201C/01 $004-03-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01294468618 208@/01 $a04-03-25 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/j.ctt1zxsk34 $XH lok: 46049013 77 exp: 46049013 77 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-03-25 $t23:40:28.505 201C/01 $004-03-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01294468626 208@/01 $a04-03-25 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/j.ctt1zxsk34 $XH lok: 46049013 107 exp: 46049013 107 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-03-25 $t23:40:28.508 201C/01 $004-03-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01294468634 208@/01 $a04-03-25 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/j.ctt1zxsk34 $XH lok: 46049013 204 exp: 46049013 204 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-03-20 $t22:51:24.911 201C/01 $004-03-20 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01085090183 208@/01 $a04-03-20 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/j.ctt1zxsk34 $XH lok: 46049013 205 exp: 46049013 205 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-03-20 $t22:51:24.927 201C/01 $004-03-20 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01085090191 208@/01 $a04-03-20 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/j.ctt1zxsk34 $XH
