The question of where these neumes came from has long been the subject of scholarly debate. As the author demonstrated in his three-volume Universale Neumenkunde published in German in 1970, there is a very close relationship between the Paleo-Byzantine notation and the Latin neumes. Although the study aroused a great deal of dispute, more recent studies have revealed that the relevance of the Neumenkunde remains essentially unchallenged after 40 years. Those path-breaking research results on the relationship of the Greek and Latin notational systems are now available for the first time in a completely revised and augmented English translation. lok: 46049850 3 exp: 46049850 3 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-03-20 $t22:54:28.987 201C/01 $004-03-20 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0108516828X 208@/01 $a04-03-20 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/j.ctv2t4brs $XH lok: 46049850 5 exp: 46049850 5 1 #EPN 201B/01 $025-02-22 $t18:15:30.025 201C/01 $025-02-22 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01183480784 208@/01 $a25-02-22 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/j.ctv2t4brs $XH lok: 46049850 8 exp: 46049850 8 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-03-20 $t22:54:28.998 201C/01 $004-03-20 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01085168298 208@/01 $a04-03-20 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/j.ctv2t4brs $XH lok: 46049850 10 exp: 46049850 10 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-03-20 $t22:54:29.010 201C/01 $004-03-20 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01085168301 208@/01 $a04-03-20 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/j.ctv2t4brs $XH lok: 46049850 11 exp: 46049850 11 1 #EPN 201B/01 $005-03-20 $t23:04:50.973 201C/01 $005-03-20 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01085410994 208@/01 $a05-03-20 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/j.ctv2t4brs $XH lok: 46049850 13 exp: 46049850 13 1 #EPN 201B/01 $005-03-20 $t23:04:50.996 201C/01 $005-03-20 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01085411001 208@/01 $a05-03-20 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/j.ctv2t4brs $XH lok: 46049850 21 exp: 46049850 21 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-03-20 $t22:54:29.046 201C/01 $004-03-20 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01085168328 208@/01 $a04-03-20 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/j.ctv2t4brs $XH lok: 46049850 23 exp: 46049850 23 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-03-20 $t22:54:29.069 201C/01 $004-03-20 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01085168336 208@/01 $a04-03-20 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/j.ctv2t4brs $XH lok: 46049850 24 exp: 46049850 24 1 #EPN 201B/01 $005-03-20 $t23:04:51.008 201C/01 $005-03-20 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0108541101X 208@/01 $a05-03-20 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/j.ctv2t4brs $XH lok: 46049850 25 exp: 46049850 25 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-03-20 $t22:54:29.082 201C/01 $004-03-20 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01085168344 208@/01 $a04-03-20 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/j.ctv2t4brs $XH lok: 46049850 51 exp: 46049850 51 1 #EPN 201B/01 $005-03-20 $t23:04:51.029 201C/01 $005-03-20 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01085411028 208@/01 $a05-03-20 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/j.ctv2t4brs $XH lok: 46049850 58 exp: 46049850 58 1 #EPN 201B/01 $005-03-20 $t23:04:51.041 201C/01 $005-03-20 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01085411036 208@/01 $a05-03-20 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/j.ctv2t4brs $XH lok: 46049850 76 exp: 46049850 76 1 #EPN 201B/01 $005-03-20 $t23:04:51.061 201C/01 $005-03-20 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01085411044 208@/01 $a05-03-20 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/j.ctv2t4brs $XH lok: 46049850 77 exp: 46049850 77 1 #EPN 201B/01 $002-03-22 $t23:07:03.881 201C/01 $002-03-22 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01183957572 208@/01 $a02-03-22 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/j.ctv2t4brs $XH lok: 46049850 107 exp: 46049850 107 1 #EPN 201B/01 $005-03-20 $t23:04:51.073 201C/01 $005-03-20 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01085411052 208@/01 $a05-03-20 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/j.ctv2t4brs $XH lok: 46049850 204 exp: 46049850 204 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-03-20 $t22:54:29.102 201C/01 $004-03-20 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01085168352 208@/01 $a04-03-20 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/j.ctv2t4brs $XH lok: 46049850 205 exp: 46049850 205 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-03-20 $t22:54:29.114 201C/01 $004-03-20 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01085168360 208@/01 $a04-03-20 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/j.ctv2t4brs $XH
