It contains some of the oldest directly dated rock art in the world, and some of the oldest evidence for a hominin presence beyond the southeastern limits of the Ice Age Asian continent. In this volume, scholars from Indonesia and Australia come together to present their research findings and views on a broad range of topics. From early periods, these include observations on Ice Age climate, life in caves and open sites, rock art, and the animals that humans exploited and lived alongside. The archaeology presented from later periods covers the rise of the Bugis kingdom, Chinese trade ceramics, and a range of site-based and regional topics from the Neolithic through to the arrival of Islam. This carefully edited volume is the first to be devoted entirely to the archaeology of the island of Sulawesi, and it lays down a baseline for significant future research. lok: 46050866 3 exp: 46050866 3 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-03-20 $t22:58:11.716 201C/01 $004-03-20 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01085266141 208@/01 $a04-03-20 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/j.ctv8bt3bw $XH lok: 46050866 5 exp: 46050866 5 1 #EPN 201B/01 $011-02-22 $t18:39:16.067 201C/01 $011-02-22 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01182494560 208@/01 $a11-02-22 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/j.ctv8bt3bw $XH lok: 46050866 8 exp: 46050866 8 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-03-20 $t22:58:11.729 201C/01 $004-03-20 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0108526615X 208@/01 $a04-03-20 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/j.ctv8bt3bw $XH lok: 46050866 10 exp: 46050866 10 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-03-20 $t22:58:11.741 201C/01 $004-03-20 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01085266168 208@/01 $a04-03-20 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/j.ctv8bt3bw $XH lok: 46050866 11 exp: 46050866 11 1 #EPN 201B/01 $006-03-20 $t22:39:56.685 201C/01 $006-03-20 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01085568377 208@/01 $a06-03-20 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/j.ctv8bt3bw $XH lok: 46050866 13 exp: 46050866 13 1 #EPN 201B/01 $006-03-20 $t22:39:56.704 201C/01 $006-03-20 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01085568385 208@/01 $a06-03-20 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/j.ctv8bt3bw $XH lok: 46050866 21 exp: 46050866 21 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-03-20 $t22:58:11.771 201C/01 $004-03-20 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01085266184 208@/01 $a04-03-20 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/j.ctv8bt3bw $XH lok: 46050866 23 exp: 46050866 23 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-03-20 $t22:58:11.787 201C/01 $004-03-20 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01085266192 208@/01 $a04-03-20 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/j.ctv8bt3bw $XH lok: 46050866 24 exp: 46050866 24 1 #EPN 201B/01 $006-03-20 $t22:39:56.715 201C/01 $006-03-20 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01085568393 208@/01 $a06-03-20 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/j.ctv8bt3bw $XH lok: 46050866 25 exp: 46050866 25 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-03-20 $t22:58:11.799 201C/01 $004-03-20 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01085266206 208@/01 $a04-03-20 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/j.ctv8bt3bw $XH lok: 46050866 36 exp: 46050866 36 1 #EPN 201B/01 $006-03-20 $t22:39:56.731 201C/01 $006-03-20 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01085568407 208@/01 $a06-03-20 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/j.ctv8bt3bw $XH lok: 46050866 50 exp: 46050866 50 1 #EPN 201B/01 $006-03-20 $t22:39:56.740 201C/01 $006-03-20 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01085568415 208@/01 $a06-03-20 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/j.ctv8bt3bw $XH lok: 46050866 54 exp: 46050866 54 1 #EPN 201B/01 $006-03-20 $t22:39:56.752 201C/01 $006-03-20 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01085568423 208@/01 $a06-03-20 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/j.ctv8bt3bw $XH lok: 46050866 71 exp: 46050866 71 1 #EPN 201B/01 $006-03-20 $t22:39:56.772 201C/01 $006-03-20 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01085568431 208@/01 $a06-03-20 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/j.ctv8bt3bw $XH lok: 46050866 75 exp: 46050866 75 1 #EPN 201B/01 $006-03-20 $t22:39:56.784 201C/01 $006-03-20 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0108556844X 208@/01 $a06-03-20 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/j.ctv8bt3bw $XH lok: 46050866 107 exp: 46050866 107 1 #EPN 201B/01 $006-03-20 $t22:39:56.803 201C/01 $006-03-20 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01085568458 208@/01 $a06-03-20 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/j.ctv8bt3bw $XH lok: 46050866 204 exp: 46050866 204 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-03-20 $t22:58:11.815 201C/01 $004-03-20 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01085266214 208@/01 $a04-03-20 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/j.ctv8bt3bw $XH lok: 46050866 205 exp: 46050866 205 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-03-20 $t22:58:11.827 201C/01 $004-03-20 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01085266222 208@/01 $a04-03-20 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/j.ctv8bt3bw $XH
