It elaborates theoretically and shows empirically how the two master frames of nostalgia and hope are used in local, national and transnational settings, in and outside conventional forms of doing politics. It expands on polarized societal processes and external events relevant for the transformation of European welfare systems and the reproduction of national identities today. It evidences the importance of gender in the narrative use of the master frames of nostalgia and hope, either as an ideological tool for right-wing populist and extreme right retrogressive mobilization or as an essential element of progressive intersectional politics of hope. It uses both comparative and single case studies to address different perspectives, and by means of various methodological approaches, the manner in which the master frames of nostalgia and hope are articulated in the politics of culture, welfare, and migration. The book is organized around three thematic sections whereby the first section deals with right-wing populist party politics across Europe, the second section deals with an articulation of politics beyond party politics by means of retrogressive mobilization, and the third and last section deals with emancipatory initiatives beyond party politics as well lok: 46988610 3 exp: 46988610 3 1 #EPN 201B/01 $010-01-22 $t22:36:33.942 201C/01 $029-09-20 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01124167072 208@/01 $a29-09-20 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/39630 $XH lok: 46988610 5 exp: 46988610 5 1 #EPN 201B/01 $010-01-22 $t22:36:33.949 201C/01 $029-09-20 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01124167080 208@/01 $a29-09-20 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/39630 $XH lok: 46988610 8 exp: 46988610 8 1 #EPN 201B/01 $010-01-22 $t22:36:33.957 201C/01 $029-09-20 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01124167099 208@/01 $a29-09-20 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/39630 $XH lok: 46988610 10 exp: 46988610 10 1 #EPN 201B/01 $010-01-22 $t22:36:33.965 201C/01 $029-09-20 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01124167102 208@/01 $a29-09-20 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/39630 $XH lok: 46988610 11 exp: 46988610 11 1 #EPN 201B/01 $010-01-22 $t22:36:33.973 201C/01 $029-09-20 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01124167110 208@/01 $a29-09-20 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/39630 $XH lok: 46988610 20 exp: 46988610 20 1 #EPN 201B/01 $010-01-22 $t22:36:33.980 201C/01 $029-09-20 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01124167129 208@/01 $a29-09-20 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/39630 $XH lok: 46988610 21 exp: 46988610 21 1 #EPN 201B/01 $010-01-22 $t22:36:33.987 201C/01 $029-09-20 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01124167137 208@/01 $a29-09-20 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/39630 $XH lok: 46988610 23 exp: 46988610 23 1 #EPN 201B/01 $010-01-22 $t22:36:33.994 201C/01 $029-09-20 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01124167145 208@/01 $a29-09-20 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/39630 $XH lok: 46988610 24 exp: 46988610 24 1 #EPN 201B/01 $010-01-22 $t22:36:34.001 201C/01 $029-09-20 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01124167153 208@/01 $a29-09-20 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/39630 $XH lok: 46988610 25 exp: 46988610 25 1 #EPN 201B/01 $010-01-22 $t22:36:34.009 201C/01 $029-09-20 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01124167161 208@/01 $a29-09-20 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/39630 $XH lok: 46988610 36 exp: 46988610 36 1 #EPN 201B/01 $010-01-22 $t22:36:34.074 201C/01 $010-01-22 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01176448846 208@/01 $a10-01-22 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/39630 $XH lok: 46988610 49 exp: 46988610 49 1 #EPN 201B/01 $010-01-22 $t22:36:34.017 201C/01 $029-09-20 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0112416717X 208@/01 $a29-09-20 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/39630 $XH lok: 46988610 54 exp: 46988610 54 1 #EPN 201B/01 $010-01-22 $t22:36:34.036 201C/01 $029-09-20 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01124167196 208@/01 $a29-09-20 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/39630 $XH lok: 46988610 108 exp: 46988610 108 1 #EPN 201B/01 $010-01-22 $t22:36:34.053 201C/01 $029-09-20 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01124167218 208@/01 $a29-09-20 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/39630 $XH lok: 46988610 204 exp: 46988610 204 1 #EPN 201B/01 $010-01-22 $t22:36:34.061 201C/01 $029-09-20 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01124167226 208@/01 $a29-09-20 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/39630 $XH lok: 46988610 205 exp: 46988610 205 1 #EPN 201B/01 $010-01-22 $t22:36:34.067 201C/01 $029-09-20 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01124167234 208@/01 $a29-09-20 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/39630 $XH
