Departing from dominant understandings of these texts through the prisms of authenticity and “literarization,” it engages with questions of textual constructedness and authorial agency. It consists of 13 contributions by a new generation of scholars in three parts. Each part represents a different aspect of their new readings of particular texts. Part one looks at concrete instances of textual interdependencies, part two at the creativity of authorial agencies, and part three at the relationship between texts and social practice. New Readings thus participates in the revaluation of late medieval Arabic historiography as a critical field of inquiry. Readership: All interested in medieval history and Islamic history, especially Mamluk studies, and anyone concerned with historiography and Arabic literature. lok: 48314109 3 exp: 48314109 3 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-08-21 $t23:30:21.998 201C/01 $004-08-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01163276677 208@/01 $a04-08-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/49761 $XH lok: 48314109 5 exp: 48314109 5 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-08-21 $t23:30:22.008 201C/01 $004-08-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01163276685 208@/01 $a04-08-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/49761 $XH lok: 48314109 8 exp: 48314109 8 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-08-21 $t23:30:22.019 201C/01 $004-08-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01163276693 208@/01 $a04-08-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/49761 $XH lok: 48314109 10 exp: 48314109 10 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-08-21 $t23:30:22.027 201C/01 $004-08-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01163276707 208@/01 $a04-08-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/49761 $XH lok: 48314109 11 exp: 48314109 11 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-08-21 $t23:30:22.035 201C/01 $004-08-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01163276715 208@/01 $a04-08-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/49761 $XH lok: 48314109 13 exp: 48314109 13 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-08-21 $t23:30:22.042 201C/01 $004-08-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01163276723 208@/01 $a04-08-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/49761 $XH lok: 48314109 21 exp: 48314109 21 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-08-21 $t23:30:22.058 201C/01 $004-08-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0116327674X 208@/01 $a04-08-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/49761 $XH lok: 48314109 23 exp: 48314109 23 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-08-21 $t23:30:22.066 201C/01 $004-08-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01163276758 208@/01 $a04-08-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/49761 $XH lok: 48314109 24 exp: 48314109 24 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-08-21 $t23:30:22.074 201C/01 $004-08-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01163276766 208@/01 $a04-08-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/49761 $XH lok: 48314109 25 exp: 48314109 25 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-08-21 $t23:30:22.081 201C/01 $004-08-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01163276774 208@/01 $a04-08-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/49761 $XH lok: 48314109 36 exp: 48314109 36 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-08-21 $t23:30:22.090 201C/01 $004-08-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01163276782 208@/01 $a04-08-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/49761 $XH lok: 48314109 51 exp: 48314109 51 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-08-21 $t23:30:22.106 201C/01 $004-08-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01163276804 208@/01 $a04-08-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/49761 $XH lok: 48314109 59 exp: 48314109 59 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-08-21 $t23:30:22.121 201C/01 $004-08-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01163276820 208@/01 $a04-08-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/49761 $XH lok: 48314109 75 exp: 48314109 75 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-08-21 $t23:30:22.137 201C/01 $004-08-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01163276847 208@/01 $a04-08-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/49761 $XH lok: 48314109 107 exp: 48314109 107 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-08-21 $t23:30:22.145 201C/01 $004-08-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01163276855 208@/01 $a04-08-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/49761 $XH lok: 48314109 108 exp: 48314109 108 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-08-21 $t23:30:22.157 201C/01 $004-08-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01163276863 208@/01 $a04-08-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/49761 $XH lok: 48314109 204 exp: 48314109 204 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-08-21 $t23:30:22.165 201C/01 $004-08-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01163276871 208@/01 $a04-08-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/49761 $XH lok: 48314109 205 exp: 48314109 205 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-08-21 $t23:30:22.174 201C/01 $004-08-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0116327688X 208@/01 $a04-08-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/49761 $XH
