[Dt.:] Die Datenbank fungiert als virtuelle Ausstellung zum Bipontina-Saal der Staatsbibliothek Bamberg in der Neuen Residenz. Dort wird die fürstliche Bibliothek von Herzog Karl II. August von Pfalz-Zweibrücken aufbewahrt. Vorgestellt werden nicht nur Hauptwerke der Büchersammlung, sondern auch ihre bewegte Geschichte sowie der Sammler selbst und das Herzogtum Pfalz-Zweibrücken. Die Datenbank entstand im Rahmen der Ausstellung „Ein königliches Geschenk: die Bibliotheca Bipontina in Bamberg“ der Staatsbibliothek Bamberg, die vom 1. Juli bis 28. September 2019 zu sehen war. - [Engl.:] The database functions as a virtual exhibition on the Bipontina Hall of the Bamberg State Library in the New Residence where the princely library of Duke Karl II August of Palatinate-Zweibrücken is kept. Not only are the main works of the book collection presented, but also its eventful history as well as the collector himself and the Duchy of Palatinate-Zweibrücken. The database was created as part of the exhibition "A royal gift: the Bibliotheca Bipontina in Bamberg" at the Bamberg State Library, which was on display from 1 July to 28 September 2019.
