While WB states have generally been successful in adopting legal reforms that make up a part of EU conditionality, many laws remain unenforced, amounting to "empty shells." In the space between law, as it is written, and practices as they are engaged in everyday life, exists a gap, characterized by informality, clientelism, and exchange often based on strong tie relationships. Some instances of informality undermine the goal of establishing rule law and contribute to corruption. Others offer valuable solutions to persistent social problems or represent traditional vehicles of social cohesion that should be promoted. The recommendations in this book seek to address both constructive and damaging instances of informality, and to identify policy measures that can help to harmonise not only legislation, but existing informal practices on the ground. lok: 49021233 3 exp: 49021233 3 1 #EPN 201B/01 $029-01-22 $t22:15:33.075 201C/01 $029-01-22 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01179739450 208@/01 $a29-01-22 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/72593 $XH lok: 49021233 5 exp: 49021233 5 1 #EPN 201B/01 $029-01-22 $t22:15:33.081 201C/01 $029-01-22 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01179739469 208@/01 $a29-01-22 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/72593 $XH lok: 49021233 8 exp: 49021233 8 1 #EPN 201B/01 $029-01-22 $t22:15:33.088 201C/01 $029-01-22 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01179739477 208@/01 $a29-01-22 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/72593 $XH lok: 49021233 10 exp: 49021233 10 1 #EPN 201B/01 $029-01-22 $t22:15:33.094 201C/01 $029-01-22 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01179739485 208@/01 $a29-01-22 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/72593 $XH lok: 49021233 11 exp: 49021233 11 1 #EPN 201B/01 $029-01-22 $t22:15:33.101 201C/01 $029-01-22 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01179739493 208@/01 $a29-01-22 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/72593 $XH lok: 49021233 20 exp: 49021233 20 1 #EPN 201B/01 $029-01-22 $t22:15:33.107 201C/01 $029-01-22 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01179739507 208@/01 $a29-01-22 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/72593 $XH lok: 49021233 21 exp: 49021233 21 1 #EPN 201B/01 $029-01-22 $t22:15:33.113 201C/01 $029-01-22 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01179739515 208@/01 $a29-01-22 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/72593 $XH lok: 49021233 23 exp: 49021233 23 1 #EPN 201B/01 $029-01-22 $t22:15:33.122 201C/01 $029-01-22 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01179739523 208@/01 $a29-01-22 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/72593 $XH lok: 49021233 24 exp: 49021233 24 1 #EPN 201B/01 $029-01-22 $t22:15:33.128 201C/01 $029-01-22 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01179739531 208@/01 $a29-01-22 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/72593 $XH lok: 49021233 25 exp: 49021233 25 1 #EPN 201B/01 $029-01-22 $t22:15:33.135 201C/01 $029-01-22 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0117973954X 208@/01 $a29-01-22 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/72593 $XH lok: 49021233 36 exp: 49021233 36 1 #EPN 201B/01 $029-01-22 $t22:15:33.140 201C/01 $029-01-22 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01179739558 208@/01 $a29-01-22 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/72593 $XH lok: 49021233 49 exp: 49021233 49 1 #EPN 201B/01 $029-01-22 $t22:15:33.147 201C/01 $029-01-22 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01179739566 208@/01 $a29-01-22 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/72593 $XH lok: 49021233 54 exp: 49021233 54 1 #EPN 201B/01 $029-01-22 $t22:15:33.159 201C/01 $029-01-22 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01179739582 208@/01 $a29-01-22 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/72593 $XH lok: 49021233 107 exp: 49021233 107 1 #EPN 201B/01 $029-01-22 $t22:15:33.172 201C/01 $029-01-22 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01179739604 208@/01 $a29-01-22 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/72593 $XH lok: 49021233 108 exp: 49021233 108 1 #EPN 201B/01 $029-01-22 $t22:15:33.179 201C/01 $029-01-22 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01179739612 208@/01 $a29-01-22 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/72593 $XH lok: 49021233 204 exp: 49021233 204 1 #EPN 201B/01 $029-01-22 $t22:15:33.185 201C/01 $029-01-22 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01179739620 208@/01 $a29-01-22 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/72593 $XH lok: 49021233 205 exp: 49021233 205 1 #EPN 201B/01 $029-01-22 $t22:15:33.192 201C/01 $029-01-22 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01179739639 208@/01 $a29-01-22 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/72593 $XH
