Sabrina Ellebrecht engages with two of its primary building sites – the European Border Surveillance System (Eurosur) and the Refugee Boat. She analyzes how the function and quality of the EU's current political border is crafted, shaped, produced and eventually stabilized through these two mediators. Eurosur and the Refugee Boat mediate a level of Europeanization which has hitherto – and would otherwise have – been impossible. While Eurosur mobilizes the limits of border policing in various ways, the Refugee Boat functions as the vacillating European Other to legitimize both control and humanitarian interventions. The study shows the specific, if not constitutive, ambivalences of EU border policies, and explores the emergence of viapolitics. lok: 49030381 3 exp: 49030381 3 1 #EPN 201B/01 $031-01-22 $t22:48:24.355 201C/01 $031-01-22 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0118079737X 208@/01 $a31-01-22 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/36664 $XH lok: 49030381 5 exp: 49030381 5 1 #EPN 201B/01 $031-01-22 $t22:48:24.361 201C/01 $031-01-22 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01180797388 208@/01 $a31-01-22 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/36664 $XH lok: 49030381 8 exp: 49030381 8 1 #EPN 201B/01 $031-01-22 $t22:48:24.367 201C/01 $031-01-22 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01180797396 208@/01 $a31-01-22 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/36664 $XH lok: 49030381 10 exp: 49030381 10 1 #EPN 201B/01 $031-01-22 $t22:48:24.372 201C/01 $031-01-22 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0118079740X 208@/01 $a31-01-22 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/36664 $XH lok: 49030381 11 exp: 49030381 11 1 #EPN 201B/01 $031-01-22 $t22:48:24.377 201C/01 $031-01-22 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01180797418 208@/01 $a31-01-22 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/36664 $XH lok: 49030381 20 exp: 49030381 20 1 #EPN 201B/01 $031-01-22 $t22:48:24.391 201C/01 $031-01-22 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01180797426 208@/01 $a31-01-22 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/36664 $XH lok: 49030381 21 exp: 49030381 21 1 #EPN 201B/01 $031-01-22 $t22:48:24.397 201C/01 $031-01-22 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01180797434 208@/01 $a31-01-22 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/36664 $XH lok: 49030381 23 exp: 49030381 23 1 #EPN 201B/01 $031-01-22 $t22:48:24.403 201C/01 $031-01-22 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01180797442 208@/01 $a31-01-22 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/36664 $XH lok: 49030381 24 exp: 49030381 24 1 #EPN 201B/01 $031-01-22 $t22:48:24.408 201C/01 $031-01-22 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01180797450 208@/01 $a31-01-22 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/36664 $XH lok: 49030381 25 exp: 49030381 25 1 #EPN 201B/01 $031-01-22 $t22:48:24.414 201C/01 $031-01-22 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01180797469 208@/01 $a31-01-22 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/36664 $XH lok: 49030381 36 exp: 49030381 36 1 #EPN 201B/01 $031-01-22 $t22:48:24.419 201C/01 $031-01-22 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01180797477 208@/01 $a31-01-22 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/36664 $XH lok: 49030381 49 exp: 49030381 49 1 #EPN 201B/01 $031-01-22 $t22:48:24.425 201C/01 $031-01-22 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01180797485 208@/01 $a31-01-22 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/36664 $XH lok: 49030381 54 exp: 49030381 54 1 #EPN 201B/01 $031-01-22 $t22:48:24.436 201C/01 $031-01-22 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01180797507 208@/01 $a31-01-22 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/36664 $XH lok: 49030381 69 exp: 49030381 69 1 #EPN 201B/01 $031-01-22 $t22:48:24.447 201C/01 $031-01-22 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01180797523 208@/01 $a31-01-22 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/36664 $XH lok: 49030381 107 exp: 49030381 107 1 #EPN 201B/01 $031-01-22 $t22:48:24.452 201C/01 $031-01-22 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01180797531 208@/01 $a31-01-22 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/36664 $XH lok: 49030381 108 exp: 49030381 108 1 #EPN 201B/01 $031-01-22 $t22:48:24.458 201C/01 $031-01-22 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0118079754X 208@/01 $a31-01-22 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/36664 $XH lok: 49030381 204 exp: 49030381 204 1 #EPN 201B/01 $031-01-22 $t22:48:24.463 201C/01 $031-01-22 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01180797558 208@/01 $a31-01-22 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/36664 $XH lok: 49030381 205 exp: 49030381 205 1 #EPN 201B/01 $031-01-22 $t22:48:24.468 201C/01 $031-01-22 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01180797566 208@/01 $a31-01-22 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/36664 $XH
