Afterlife of the Shoah in Central and Eastern European Cultures is a collection of essays by literary scholars from Germany, the US, and Central Eastern Europe offering insight into the specific ways of representing the Shoah and its aftereffects as well as its entanglement with other catastrophic events in the region. Introducing the conceptual frame of postcatastrophe, the collected essays explore the discursive and artistic space the Shoah occupies in the countries between Moscow and Berlin. Postcatastrophe is informed by the knowledge of other concepts of "post" and shares their insight into forms of transmission and latency; in contrast to them, explores the after-effects of extreme events on a collective, aesthetic, and political rather than a personal level. The articles use the concept of postcatastrophe as a key to understanding the entangled and conflicted cultures of remembrance in postsocialist literatures and the arts dealing with events, phenomena, and developments that refuse to remain in the past and still continue to shape perceptions of today’s societies in Eastern Europe. As a contribution to memory studies as well as to literary criticism with a special focus on Shoah remembrance after socialism, this book is of great interest to students and scholars of European history, and those interested in historical memory more broadly. lok: 49744615 3 exp: 49744615 3 1 #EPN 201B/01 $023-07-22 $t02:05:09.738 201C/01 $023-07-22 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01209848740 208@/01 $a23-07-22 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/78904 $XH lok: 49744615 5 exp: 49744615 5 1 #EPN 201B/01 $023-07-22 $t02:05:09.749 201C/01 $023-07-22 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01209848759 208@/01 $a23-07-22 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/78904 $XH lok: 49744615 8 exp: 49744615 8 1 #EPN 201B/01 $023-07-22 $t02:05:09.753 201C/01 $023-07-22 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01209848767 208@/01 $a23-07-22 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/78904 $XH lok: 49744615 10 exp: 49744615 10 1 #EPN 201B/01 $023-07-22 $t02:05:09.759 201C/01 $023-07-22 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01209848775 208@/01 $a23-07-22 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/78904 $XH lok: 49744615 21 exp: 49744615 21 1 #EPN 201B/01 $023-07-22 $t02:05:09.773 201C/01 $023-07-22 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01209848791 208@/01 $a23-07-22 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/78904 $XH lok: 49744615 23 exp: 49744615 23 1 #EPN 201B/01 $023-07-22 $t02:05:09.786 201C/01 $023-07-22 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01209848805 208@/01 $a23-07-22 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/78904 $XH lok: 49744615 25 exp: 49744615 25 1 #EPN 201B/01 $023-07-22 $t02:05:09.791 201C/01 $023-07-22 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01209848813 208@/01 $a23-07-22 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/78904 $XH lok: 49744615 78 exp: 49744615 78 1 #EPN 201B/01 $007-07-23 $t11:43:06.000 201C/01 $007-07-23 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01239429355 208@/01 $a07-07-23 $be 209A/01 $a/ $f000 $x00 209A/01 $ab*p $x01 220C/01 $aeja 247C/01 $82080>Marburg/Lahn, Herder-Institut, Forschungsbibliothek, Bibliographieportal $9336309341 lok: 49744615 106 exp: 49744615 106 1 #EPN 201B/01 $028-07-22 $t12:13:40.000 201C/01 $028-07-22 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0121056470X 208@/01 $a28-07-22 $bo 209S/01 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/78904 $XH lok: 49744615 204 exp: 49744615 204 1 #EPN 201B/01 $023-07-22 $t02:05:09.797 201C/01 $023-07-22 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01209848821 208@/01 $a23-07-22 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/78904 $XH lok: 49744615 205 exp: 49744615 205 1 #EPN 201B/01 $023-07-22 $t02:05:09.803 201C/01 $023-07-22 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0120984883X 208@/01 $a23-07-22 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/78904 $XH
