Introduction: Right from the beginning of the exhibition's preparation, our partner has been Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden, Gemäldegalerie Alte Meister. It was in Dresden that the first edition of this jubilee exhibition was shown, on May 20th of this year, at which time a catalogue containing texts by researchers specializing in various aspects of Bellotto's œuvre was published. Thanks to the courtesy of our Dresden colleagues, we have been able to reprint translations of some of those texts in the present publication.
