In a similar vein, an analysis of historical narratives that either justify or challenge dependency is conducive to revealing how dependency may be embedded in (historical) discourses and ways of thinking. The eleven contributions in the volume approach these issues from various disciplinary vantage points, including theology, global history, Ottoman history, literary studies, and legal history. The authors address a wide range of different textual sources and historical contexts - from medieval Scandinavia and the Fatimid Empire to the history of abolition in Martinique and human rights violations in contemporary society. While the authors contribute innovative insights to ongoing discussions within their disciplines, the articles were also written with a view to the endeavor of furthering Dependency Studies as a transdisciplinary approach to the study of human societies past and present. lok: 51131027 3 101B $009-01-24 $t09:15:23.000 101C $009-01-24 101U $0utf8 145S/01 $a039 exp: 51131027 3 1 #EPN 201B/01 $006-09-23 $t23:10:35.584 201C/01 $006-09-23 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01242658254 204P/01 $010.1515/9783111210544 $S0 208@/01 $a06-09-23 $bl lok: 51131027 5 exp: 51131027 5 1 #EPN 201B/01 $006-09-23 $t23:10:35.587 201C/01 $006-09-23 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01242658262 204P/01 $010.1515/9783111210544 $S0 208@/01 $a06-09-23 $bl lok: 51131027 8 exp: 51131027 8 1 #EPN 201B/01 $006-09-23 $t23:10:35.590 201C/01 $006-09-23 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01242658270 204P/01 $010.1515/9783111210544 $S0 208@/01 $a06-09-23 $bl lok: 51131027 10 exp: 51131027 10 1 #EPN 201B/01 $006-09-23 $t23:10:35.593 201C/01 $006-09-23 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01242658289 204P/01 $010.1515/9783111210544 $S0 208@/01 $a06-09-23 $bl lok: 51131027 11 exp: 51131027 11 1 #EPN 201B/01 $012-09-23 $t23:23:24.370 201C/01 $012-09-23 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01243355042 204P/01 $010.1515/9783111210544 $S0 208@/01 $a12-09-23 $bl lok: 51131027 13 exp: 51131027 13 1 #EPN 201B/01 $012-09-23 $t23:23:24.373 201C/01 $012-09-23 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01243355050 204P/01 $010.1515/9783111210544 $S0 208@/01 $a12-09-23 $bl lok: 51131027 21 exp: 51131027 21 1 #EPN 201B/01 $006-09-23 $t23:10:35.598 201C/01 $006-09-23 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01242658300 204P/01 $010.1515/9783111210544 $S0 208@/01 $a06-09-23 $bl lok: 51131027 23 exp: 51131027 23 1 #EPN 201B/01 $006-09-23 $t23:10:35.601 201C/01 $006-09-23 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01242658319 204P/01 $010.1515/9783111210544 $S0 208@/01 $a06-09-23 $bl lok: 51131027 24 exp: 51131027 24 1 #EPN 201B/01 $012-09-23 $t23:23:24.376 201C/01 $012-09-23 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01243355069 204P/01 $010.1515/9783111210544 $S0 208@/01 $a12-09-23 $bl lok: 51131027 25 exp: 51131027 25 1 #EPN 201B/01 $006-09-23 $t23:10:35.603 201C/01 $006-09-23 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01242658327 204P/01 $010.1515/9783111210544 $S0 208@/01 $a06-09-23 $bl lok: 51131027 36 exp: 51131027 36 1 #EPN 201B/01 $012-09-23 $t23:23:24.379 201C/01 $012-09-23 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01243355077 204P/01 $010.1515/9783111210544 $S0 208@/01 $a12-09-23 $bl lok: 51131027 51 exp: 51131027 51 1 #EPN 201B/01 $012-09-23 $t23:23:24.384 201C/01 $012-09-23 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01243355093 204P/01 $010.1515/9783111210544 $S0 208@/01 $a12-09-23 $bl lok: 51131027 59 exp: 51131027 59 1 #EPN 201B/01 $012-09-23 $t23:23:24.388 201C/01 $012-09-23 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01243355115 204P/01 $010.1515/9783111210544 $S0 208@/01 $a12-09-23 $bl lok: 51131027 75 exp: 51131027 75 1 #EPN 201B/01 $012-09-23 $t23:23:24.394 201C/01 $012-09-23 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01243355131 204P/01 $010.1515/9783111210544 $S0 208@/01 $a12-09-23 $bl lok: 51131027 107 exp: 51131027 107 1 #EPN 201B/01 $012-09-23 $t23:23:24.396 201C/01 $012-09-23 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0124335514X 204P/01 $010.1515/9783111210544 $S0 208@/01 $a12-09-23 $bl lok: 51131027 108 exp: 51131027 108 1 #EPN 201B/01 $012-09-23 $t23:23:24.399 201C/01 $012-09-23 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01243355158 204P/01 $010.1515/9783111210544 $S0 208@/01 $a12-09-23 $bl lok: 51131027 204 exp: 51131027 204 1 #EPN 201B/01 $006-09-23 $t23:10:35.606 201C/01 $006-09-23 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01242658335 204P/01 $010.1515/9783111210544 $S0 208@/01 $a06-09-23 $bl lok: 51131027 205 exp: 51131027 205 1 #EPN 201B/01 $006-09-23 $t23:10:35.608 201C/01 $006-09-23 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01242658343 204P/01 $010.1515/9783111210544 $S0 208@/01 $a06-09-23 $bl
