Shortly before World War II broke out, Dr. Weingort, a young Polish rabbi, moved to Switzerland, but his family was among millions of Jews who had come under German rule. In an attempt to help his family and other community members, Weingort provided them with aid packages with food, medication, and religious items, and later on also with South American passports. The book sheds light on Weingort’s efforts to create an aid network that gave hope to his family and hundreds of other Jews |
