The manner, in his works, in which he analyzed architecture from a cultural-historical perspective as the key discipline in human artistry continues to exert a deep fascination up until today. The London Writings make available previously unpublished or little-known texts originating during Semper’s exile in London (1850–1855) in a critical and commented edition, including in their original wordings. Swayed by his impressions of the first Great Exhibition of 1851 and as a lecturer at the Department of Practical Art, it was in London that Semper laid the foundations for his theoretical magnum opus Der Stil (Style, 1860/63). He counterpoised the phenomena of the globalized flow of merchandise and a globalization of knowledge that he observed with his thoughts on the global development of architectural culture in all its manifold material, social and political conditions. lok: 51433499 3 exp: 51433499 3 1 #EPN 201B/01 $030-12-23 $t00:13:25.720 201C/01 $029-12-23 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01253076510 208@/01 $a29-12-23 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/101801 $XH lok: 51433499 5 exp: 51433499 5 1 #EPN 201B/01 $030-12-23 $t00:13:25.724 201C/01 $029-12-23 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01253076529 208@/01 $a29-12-23 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/101801 $XH lok: 51433499 8 exp: 51433499 8 1 #EPN 201B/01 $030-12-23 $t00:13:25.726 201C/01 $029-12-23 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01253076537 208@/01 $a29-12-23 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/101801 $XH lok: 51433499 10 exp: 51433499 10 1 #EPN 201B/01 $030-12-23 $t00:13:25.729 201C/01 $029-12-23 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01253076545 208@/01 $a29-12-23 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/101801 $XH lok: 51433499 11 exp: 51433499 11 1 #EPN 201B/01 $031-12-23 $t22:53:01.036 201C/01 $031-12-23 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01253783950 208@/01 $a31-12-23 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/101801 $XH lok: 51433499 20 exp: 51433499 20 1 #EPN 201B/01 $031-12-23 $t22:53:01.041 201C/01 $031-12-23 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01253783969 208@/01 $a31-12-23 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/101801 $XH lok: 51433499 21 exp: 51433499 21 1 #EPN 201B/01 $030-12-23 $t00:13:25.732 201C/01 $029-12-23 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01253076553 208@/01 $a29-12-23 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/101801 $XH lok: 51433499 23 exp: 51433499 23 1 #EPN 201B/01 $030-12-23 $t00:13:25.734 201C/01 $029-12-23 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01253076561 208@/01 $a29-12-23 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/101801 $XH lok: 51433499 24 exp: 51433499 24 1 #EPN 201B/01 $031-12-23 $t22:53:01.046 201C/01 $031-12-23 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01253783977 208@/01 $a31-12-23 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/101801 $XH lok: 51433499 25 exp: 51433499 25 1 #EPN 201B/01 $030-12-23 $t00:13:25.737 201C/01 $029-12-23 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0125307657X 208@/01 $a29-12-23 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/101801 $XH lok: 51433499 36 exp: 51433499 36 1 #EPN 201B/01 $031-12-23 $t22:53:01.051 201C/01 $031-12-23 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01253783985 208@/01 $a31-12-23 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/101801 $XH lok: 51433499 49 exp: 51433499 49 1 #EPN 201B/01 $031-12-23 $t22:53:01.079 201C/01 $031-12-23 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01253783993 208@/01 $a31-12-23 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/101801 $XH lok: 51433499 75 exp: 51433499 75 1 #EPN 201B/01 $031-12-23 $t22:53:01.088 201C/01 $031-12-23 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01253784000 208@/01 $a31-12-23 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/101801 $XH lok: 51433499 76 exp: 51433499 76 1 #EPN 201B/01 $031-12-23 $t22:53:01.097 201C/01 $031-12-23 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01253784019 208@/01 $a31-12-23 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/101801 $XH lok: 51433499 107 exp: 51433499 107 1 #EPN 201B/01 $031-12-23 $t22:53:01.108 201C/01 $031-12-23 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01253784027 208@/01 $a31-12-23 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/101801 $XH lok: 51433499 108 exp: 51433499 108 1 #EPN 201B/01 $031-12-23 $t22:53:01.120 201C/01 $031-12-23 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01253784035 208@/01 $a31-12-23 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/101801 $XH lok: 51433499 204 exp: 51433499 204 1 #EPN 201B/01 $030-12-23 $t00:13:25.740 201C/01 $029-12-23 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01253076588 208@/01 $a29-12-23 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/101801 $XH lok: 51433499 205 exp: 51433499 205 1 #EPN 201B/01 $030-12-23 $t00:13:25.742 201C/01 $029-12-23 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01253076596 208@/01 $a29-12-23 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/101801 $XH
