Vor allem dieser letzte Aspekt ist Gegenstand des vorliegenden Bandes, dessen erster Teil den Zusammenhang zwischen Globalisierung und Wandel von politischen Institutionen beispielhaft beleuchtet. Behandelt werden mögliche Gründe für eine selektive Migrationspolitik, die Auswirkungen von Schuldenerlassprogrammen auf die politischen Entscheidungsprozesse in Entwicklungsländern sowie der Zusammenhang zwischen Wechselkursregime und Wirtschaftswachstum.
