This was the case even before the current humanitarian crises around the world which led millions of people and families to flee from wars, terror, poverty and exploitation. Minors have been denied human rights such as access to education, food and health services. They have been kidnapped, sold, manipulated, mutilated, killed, and injured. This has been and continues to be the case in both developed and developing countries, and it does not look as if the situation will improve in the near future. Rather, current geopolitical developments, political and economic uncertainties and instabilities seem to be increasing the vulnerability of minors, especially in the wars and armed conflicts currently being waged not only in Europe, but on almost every continent. How can risks children and youth are exposed to in times of transition be reduced? Which role do state agencies, non-governmental organisations, as well as children's coping strategies play in mitigating the vulnerabilities of minors?This volume addresses risks to which children and young people are exposed, especially in times of transition. The focus is on different groups of children in the European wartime and post-war societies of the Second World War, 'occupation children' in Germany, teenage National Socialist collaborators in Norway, and more recent cases such as child soldiers, refugee children, and children of European "Islamic State" fighters. The contributions come from international scholars and different academic disciplines (educational and social sciences, humanities, law, and international peace and conflict studies) and are based on historical, quantitative, and/or qualitative analyses. lok: 51449909 3 101B $009-01-24 $t09:15:15.000 101C $009-01-24 101U $0utf8 145S/01 $a039 exp: 51449909 3 1 #EPN 201B/01 $006-01-24 $t22:09:10.292 201C/01 $006-01-24 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0125391852X 204P/01 $010.1515/9783111010649 $S0 208@/01 $a06-01-24 $bl lok: 51449909 5 exp: 51449909 5 1 #EPN 201B/01 $006-01-24 $t22:09:10.296 201C/01 $006-01-24 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01253918538 204P/01 $010.1515/9783111010649 $S0 208@/01 $a06-01-24 $bl lok: 51449909 8 exp: 51449909 8 1 #EPN 201B/01 $006-01-24 $t22:09:10.300 201C/01 $006-01-24 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01253918546 204P/01 $010.1515/9783111010649 $S0 208@/01 $a06-01-24 $bl lok: 51449909 10 exp: 51449909 10 1 #EPN 201B/01 $006-01-24 $t22:09:10.302 201C/01 $006-01-24 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01253918554 204P/01 $010.1515/9783111010649 $S0 208@/01 $a06-01-24 $bl lok: 51449909 11 exp: 51449909 11 1 #EPN 201B/01 $006-01-24 $t22:09:10.305 201C/01 $006-01-24 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01253918562 204P/01 $010.1515/9783111010649 $S0 208@/01 $a06-01-24 $bl lok: 51449909 13 exp: 51449909 13 1 #EPN 201B/01 $006-01-24 $t22:09:10.308 201C/01 $006-01-24 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01253918570 204P/01 $010.1515/9783111010649 $S0 208@/01 $a06-01-24 $bl lok: 51449909 20 exp: 51449909 20 1 #EPN 201B/01 $006-04-24 $t03:26:29.217 201C/01 $006-04-24 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01260876039 204P/01 $010.1515/9783111010649 $S0 208@/01 $a06-04-24 $bl lok: 51449909 21 exp: 51449909 21 1 #EPN 201B/01 $006-01-24 $t22:09:10.310 201C/01 $006-01-24 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01253918589 204P/01 $010.1515/9783111010649 $S0 208@/01 $a06-01-24 $bl lok: 51449909 23 exp: 51449909 23 1 #EPN 201B/01 $006-01-24 $t22:09:10.314 201C/01 $006-01-24 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01253918597 204P/01 $010.1515/9783111010649 $S0 208@/01 $a06-01-24 $bl lok: 51449909 24 exp: 51449909 24 1 #EPN 201B/01 $006-01-24 $t22:09:10.316 201C/01 $006-01-24 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01253918600 204P/01 $010.1515/9783111010649 $S0 208@/01 $a06-01-24 $bl lok: 51449909 25 exp: 51449909 25 1 #EPN 201B/01 $006-01-24 $t22:09:10.319 201C/01 $006-01-24 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01253918619 204P/01 $010.1515/9783111010649 $S0 208@/01 $a06-01-24 $bl lok: 51449909 36 exp: 51449909 36 1 #EPN 201B/01 $006-01-24 $t22:09:10.322 201C/01 $006-01-24 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01253918627 204P/01 $010.1515/9783111010649 $S0 208@/01 $a06-01-24 $bl lok: 51449909 49 exp: 51449909 49 1 #EPN 201B/01 $006-04-24 $t03:26:29.220 201C/01 $006-04-24 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01260876047 204P/01 $010.1515/9783111010649 $S0 208@/01 $a06-04-24 $bl lok: 51449909 51 exp: 51449909 51 1 #EPN 201B/01 $006-01-24 $t22:09:10.327 201C/01 $006-01-24 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01253918643 204P/01 $010.1515/9783111010649 $S0 208@/01 $a06-01-24 $bl lok: 51449909 54 exp: 51449909 54 1 #EPN 201B/01 $006-04-24 $t03:26:29.222 201C/01 $006-04-24 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01260876055 204P/01 $010.1515/9783111010649 $S0 208@/01 $a06-04-24 $bl lok: 51449909 59 exp: 51449909 59 1 #EPN 201B/01 $006-01-24 $t22:09:10.333 201C/01 $006-01-24 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0125391866X 204P/01 $010.1515/9783111010649 $S0 208@/01 $a06-01-24 $bl lok: 51449909 69 exp: 51449909 69 1 #EPN 201B/01 $006-04-24 $t03:26:29.226 201C/01 $006-04-24 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01260876063 204P/01 $010.1515/9783111010649 $S0 208@/01 $a06-04-24 $bl lok: 51449909 74 exp: 51449909 74 1 #EPN 201B/01 $006-01-24 $t22:09:10.335 201C/01 $006-01-24 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01253918678 204P/01 $010.1515/9783111010649 $S0 208@/01 $a06-01-24 $bl lok: 51449909 75 exp: 51449909 75 1 #EPN 201B/01 $006-01-24 $t22:09:10.338 201C/01 $006-01-24 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01253918686 204P/01 $010.1515/9783111010649 $S0 208@/01 $a06-01-24 $bl lok: 51449909 76 exp: 51449909 76 1 #EPN 201B/01 $006-04-24 $t03:26:29.228 201C/01 $006-04-24 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01260876071 204P/01 $010.1515/9783111010649 $S0 208@/01 $a06-04-24 $bl lok: 51449909 107 exp: 51449909 107 1 #EPN 201B/01 $006-01-24 $t22:09:10.341 201C/01 $006-01-24 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01253918694 204P/01 $010.1515/9783111010649 $S0 208@/01 $a06-01-24 $bl lok: 51449909 108 exp: 51449909 108 1 #EPN 201B/01 $006-01-24 $t22:09:10.344 201C/01 $006-01-24 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01253918708 204P/01 $010.1515/9783111010649 $S0 208@/01 $a06-01-24 $bl lok: 51449909 204 exp: 51449909 204 1 #EPN 201B/01 $006-01-24 $t22:09:10.347 201C/01 $006-01-24 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01253918716 204P/01 $010.1515/9783111010649 $S0 208@/01 $a06-01-24 $bl lok: 51449909 205 exp: 51449909 205 1 #EPN 201B/01 $006-01-24 $t22:09:10.349 201C/01 $006-01-24 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01253918724 204P/01 $010.1515/9783111010649 $S0 208@/01 $a06-01-24 $bl
