German foreign and security policy is facing a profound reorientation. Great power competition between the United States and both a revanchist Russia and a rising China, the return of war and nuclear threats to Europe, and the emergence of new technologies all force Germany to adapt. German policymakers and scholars increasingly speak of a pivotal Zeitenwende, an epochal turning point in history. How does Germany adapt its nuclear policies to these changing conditions? The volume brings together internationally renowned nuclear scholars and policy analysts from Germany and abroad. Focussing on German nuclear deterrence, arms control and disarmament as well as nonproliferation policies, the contributors assess how German leaders have navigated continuity and change, domestically and abroad. The volume concludes that Germany remains bound by dependence on the United States and its own conservatism. Within these parameters, German leaders have adapted slowly to change and continue to balance seemingly contradictory deterrence and disarmament goals. This book will be of much interest to students of nuclear proliferation, security studies, German politics and International Relations, as well as policymakers. lok: 51652070 3 exp: 51652070 3 1 #EPN 201B/01 $023-03-24 $t22:30:30.990 201C/01 $023-03-24 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01258624958 208@/01 $a23-03-24 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/135001 $XH lok: 51652070 5 exp: 51652070 5 1 #EPN 201B/01 $023-03-24 $t22:30:30.995 201C/01 $023-03-24 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01258624966 208@/01 $a23-03-24 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/135001 $XH lok: 51652070 8 exp: 51652070 8 1 #EPN 201B/01 $023-03-24 $t22:30:30.998 201C/01 $023-03-24 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01258624974 208@/01 $a23-03-24 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/135001 $XH lok: 51652070 10 exp: 51652070 10 1 #EPN 201B/01 $023-03-24 $t22:30:31.001 201C/01 $023-03-24 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01258624982 208@/01 $a23-03-24 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/135001 $XH lok: 51652070 11 exp: 51652070 11 1 #EPN 201B/01 $006-12-24 $t01:11:10.138 201C/01 $006-12-24 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01285761014 208@/01 $a06-12-24 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/135001 $XH lok: 51652070 20 exp: 51652070 20 1 #EPN 201B/01 $006-12-24 $t01:11:10.142 201C/01 $006-12-24 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01285761022 208@/01 $a06-12-24 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/135001 $XH lok: 51652070 21 exp: 51652070 21 1 #EPN 201B/01 $023-03-24 $t22:30:31.004 201C/01 $023-03-24 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01258624990 208@/01 $a23-03-24 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/135001 $XH lok: 51652070 23 exp: 51652070 23 1 #EPN 201B/01 $023-03-24 $t22:30:31.006 201C/01 $023-03-24 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01258625008 208@/01 $a23-03-24 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/135001 $XH lok: 51652070 24 exp: 51652070 24 1 #EPN 201B/01 $006-12-24 $t01:11:10.144 201C/01 $006-12-24 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01285761030 208@/01 $a06-12-24 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/135001 $XH lok: 51652070 25 exp: 51652070 25 1 #EPN 201B/01 $023-03-24 $t22:30:31.009 201C/01 $023-03-24 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01258625016 208@/01 $a23-03-24 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/135001 $XH lok: 51652070 36 exp: 51652070 36 1 #EPN 201B/01 $006-12-24 $t01:11:10.147 201C/01 $006-12-24 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01285761049 208@/01 $a06-12-24 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/135001 $XH lok: 51652070 49 exp: 51652070 49 1 #EPN 201B/01 $006-12-24 $t01:11:10.149 201C/01 $006-12-24 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01285761057 208@/01 $a06-12-24 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/135001 $XH lok: 51652070 51 exp: 51652070 51 1 #EPN 201B/01 $006-12-24 $t01:11:10.155 201C/01 $006-12-24 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01285761073 208@/01 $a06-12-24 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/135001 $XH lok: 51652070 54 exp: 51652070 54 1 #EPN 201B/01 $006-12-24 $t01:11:10.159 201C/01 $006-12-24 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01285761081 208@/01 $a06-12-24 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/135001 $XH lok: 51652070 108 exp: 51652070 108 1 #EPN 201B/01 $006-12-24 $t01:11:10.163 201C/01 $006-12-24 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01285761103 208@/01 $a06-12-24 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/135001 $XH lok: 51652070 204 exp: 51652070 204 1 #EPN 201B/01 $023-03-24 $t22:30:31.012 201C/01 $023-03-24 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01258625024 208@/01 $a23-03-24 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/135001 $XH lok: 51652070 205 exp: 51652070 205 1 #EPN 201B/01 $023-03-24 $t22:30:31.015 201C/01 $023-03-24 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01258625032 208@/01 $a23-03-24 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/135001 $XH
