Bayraktar-TB2-Drohnen des türkischen Unternehmens Baykar werden in zahlreiche Länder exportiert. Die ukrainischen Streitkräfte haben sie nach der russischen Invasion genutzt, die aserbaidschanischen im Konflikt mit Armenien in Berg-Karabach verwendet und auch in Syrien, im Nordirak und in Libyen kommt sie zum Einsatz. Die Drohne ist aber nur das sichtbarste Zeichen, dass in der türkischen Rüstungspolitik eine neue Ära angebrochen ist. Die Verteidigungsindustrie und das um sie herum entstandene Innovations-Öko-System sollen die Türkei als "Tekno-Nation" positionieren. Für die Nato-Partner ergeben sich in der Zusammenarbeit mit Ankara damit neue sicherheitspolitische Herausforderungen.
