Films, photographs, and documents have continued to emerge from the camp and become the focus of fierce legal and political battles, as well as intense moral anguish. This book looks at how the US Department of Defense has struggled, and often failed, to control the public perception of these media objects through complex, layered framing devices. It traces how small ruptures in the Department’s framings have provided openings for critical interventions from various fields – ranging from journalism and human rights law to the arts. Guantánamo Frames thus lays the groundwork for a critical reappraisal of the entanglement of media, violence, and the security state in a broader sense. lok: 51760665 3 exp: 51760665 3 1 #EPN 201B/01 $008-05-24 $t02:40:46.670 201C/01 $008-05-24 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0126218973X 208@/01 $a08-05-24 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/135920 $XH lok: 51760665 5 exp: 51760665 5 1 #EPN 201B/01 $008-05-24 $t02:40:46.674 201C/01 $008-05-24 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01262189748 208@/01 $a08-05-24 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/135920 $XH lok: 51760665 8 exp: 51760665 8 1 #EPN 201B/01 $008-05-24 $t02:40:46.678 201C/01 $008-05-24 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01262189756 208@/01 $a08-05-24 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/135920 $XH lok: 51760665 10 exp: 51760665 10 1 #EPN 201B/01 $008-05-24 $t02:40:46.682 201C/01 $008-05-24 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01262189764 208@/01 $a08-05-24 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/135920 $XH lok: 51760665 11 exp: 51760665 11 1 #EPN 201B/01 $008-05-24 $t02:40:46.686 201C/01 $008-05-24 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01262189772 208@/01 $a08-05-24 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/135920 $XH lok: 51760665 20 exp: 51760665 20 1 #EPN 201B/01 $008-05-24 $t02:40:46.689 201C/01 $008-05-24 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01262189780 208@/01 $a08-05-24 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/135920 $XH lok: 51760665 21 exp: 51760665 21 1 #EPN 201B/01 $008-05-24 $t02:40:46.692 201C/01 $008-05-24 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01262189799 208@/01 $a08-05-24 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/135920 $XH lok: 51760665 23 exp: 51760665 23 1 #EPN 201B/01 $008-05-24 $t02:40:46.696 201C/01 $008-05-24 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01262189802 208@/01 $a08-05-24 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/135920 $XH lok: 51760665 24 exp: 51760665 24 1 #EPN 201B/01 $008-05-24 $t02:40:46.699 201C/01 $008-05-24 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01262189810 208@/01 $a08-05-24 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/135920 $XH lok: 51760665 25 exp: 51760665 25 1 #EPN 201B/01 $008-05-24 $t02:40:46.702 201C/01 $008-05-24 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01262189829 208@/01 $a08-05-24 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/135920 $XH lok: 51760665 36 exp: 51760665 36 1 #EPN 201B/01 $008-05-24 $t02:40:46.705 201C/01 $008-05-24 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01262189837 208@/01 $a08-05-24 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/135920 $XH lok: 51760665 49 exp: 51760665 49 1 #EPN 201B/01 $008-05-24 $t02:40:46.709 201C/01 $008-05-24 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01262189845 208@/01 $a08-05-24 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/135920 $XH lok: 51760665 54 exp: 51760665 54 1 #EPN 201B/01 $008-05-24 $t02:40:46.717 201C/01 $008-05-24 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01262189861 208@/01 $a08-05-24 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/135920 $XH lok: 51760665 69 exp: 51760665 69 1 #EPN 201B/01 $008-05-24 $t02:40:46.722 201C/01 $008-05-24 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01262189888 208@/01 $a08-05-24 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/135920 $XH lok: 51760665 107 exp: 51760665 107 1 #EPN 201B/01 $008-05-24 $t02:40:46.725 201C/01 $008-05-24 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01262189896 208@/01 $a08-05-24 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/135920 $XH lok: 51760665 108 exp: 51760665 108 1 #EPN 201B/01 $008-05-24 $t02:40:46.728 201C/01 $008-05-24 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0126218990X 208@/01 $a08-05-24 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/135920 $XH lok: 51760665 204 exp: 51760665 204 1 #EPN 201B/01 $008-05-24 $t02:40:46.731 201C/01 $008-05-24 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01262189918 208@/01 $a08-05-24 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/135920 $XH lok: 51760665 205 exp: 51760665 205 1 #EPN 201B/01 $008-05-24 $t02:40:46.734 201C/01 $008-05-24 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01262189926 208@/01 $a08-05-24 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/135920 $XH
