This work deals with the topic of continuity and discontinuity of cultural stereotypes concerning the perception of the head of state in the discourse of lower social classes between the period of the late Habsburg monarchy (1890-1918) and the first Czechoslovak Republic. It does so on the basis of records of court proceedings with persons who stood before the Regional Court in Uherské Hradiste under both regimes for insulting the head of state. Discourse is examined in the context of contemporary politics, ethics or economics. The work comes with surprising findings regarding the politicization of the discourse of the lower social classes.--Publishers website.
