Někam jsem to ukryl

In the autumn of 1977 Václav Havel wrote a report describing the first hours of the Charter 77 Declaration, the ensuing investigation, the four-month pre-trial detention imposed on him by the communist regime, his release and later torturous interrogation. Havel hid the 100-page report somewhere but could never find it agai n. It was later found in the estate of his close friend Zdenek Urbanek. The text, which is fragmentary in nature, has been largely reconstructed and is now being published by the Václav Havel Library. In the original syllabus, which is part of the manuscript find, Václav Havel counted on several accompanying essays by other authors on the topics he deals with in the text. In this spirit, the published ensemble is complemented by essays by Anna Freimanová, Petr Blazek, David Dusek and Michael Zantovský.
