Emphasizing the competing roles of the domestic ruling class and grassroots social movements, Becker details the struggles and difficulties that activists, organizers, and political parties confronted. He shows how leftist groups, including the Communist Party of Ecuador, navigated disagreements over tactics and ideology, and how these influenced shifting strategies in support of rural Indigenous communities and urban labor movements. He outlines the CIA's failure to understand that the Ecuadorian left was rooted in local social struggles rather than bankrolled by the Soviet Union. By decentering US-Soviet power struggles, Becker shows that the local patterns and dynamics that shaped the development of the Ecuadorian left could be found throughout Latin America during the cold war. lok: 52791153 3 exp: 52791153 3 1 #EPN 201B/01 $008-03-25 $t00:06:24.775 201C/01 $007-03-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01294640089 204P/01 $010.1515/9781478012993 $S0 208@/01 $a07-03-25 $bl lok: 52791153 5 exp: 52791153 5 1 #EPN 201B/01 $008-03-25 $t00:06:24.777 201C/01 $007-03-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01294640097 204P/01 $010.1515/9781478012993 $S0 208@/01 $a07-03-25 $bl lok: 52791153 8 exp: 52791153 8 1 #EPN 201B/01 $008-03-25 $t00:06:24.780 201C/01 $007-03-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01294640100 204P/01 $010.1515/9781478012993 $S0 208@/01 $a07-03-25 $bl lok: 52791153 10 exp: 52791153 10 1 #EPN 201B/01 $008-03-25 $t00:06:24.783 201C/01 $007-03-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01294640119 204P/01 $010.1515/9781478012993 $S0 208@/01 $a07-03-25 $bl lok: 52791153 11 exp: 52791153 11 1 #EPN 201B/01 $008-03-25 $t00:06:24.786 201C/01 $007-03-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01294640127 204P/01 $010.1515/9781478012993 $S0 208@/01 $a07-03-25 $bl lok: 52791153 13 exp: 52791153 13 1 #EPN 201B/01 $008-03-25 $t00:06:24.788 201C/01 $007-03-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01294640135 204P/01 $010.1515/9781478012993 $S0 208@/01 $a07-03-25 $bl lok: 52791153 21 exp: 52791153 21 1 #EPN 201B/01 $008-03-25 $t00:06:24.791 201C/01 $007-03-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01294640143 204P/01 $010.1515/9781478012993 $S0 208@/01 $a07-03-25 $bl lok: 52791153 23 exp: 52791153 23 1 #EPN 201B/01 $007-04-25 $t22:36:30.000 201C/01 $007-03-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01294640054 204P/01 $010.1515/9781478012993 $S0 208@/01 $a07-03-25 $bl lok: 52791153 24 exp: 52791153 24 1 #EPN 201B/01 $008-03-25 $t00:06:24.793 201C/01 $007-03-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01294640151 204P/01 $010.1515/9781478012993 $S0 208@/01 $a07-03-25 $bl lok: 52791153 25 exp: 52791153 25 1 #EPN 201B/01 $007-03-25 $t10:46:01.000 201C/01 $007-03-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01294597094 204P/01 $010.1515/9781478012993 208@/01 $a07-03-25 $boeb 209B/01 $adG ebs $x05 237A/01 $aOnline-Zugang nur im Netz der Universität Mainz exp: 52791153 25 2 #EPN 201B/02 $008-03-25 $t00:06:24.769 201C/02 $007-03-25 201U/02 $0utf8 203@/02 $01294640062 204P/02 $010.1515/9781478012993 $S0 208@/02 $a07-03-25 $bl lok: 52791153 36 exp: 52791153 36 1 #EPN 201B/01 $008-03-25 $t00:06:24.796 201C/01 $007-03-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0129464016X 204P/01 $010.1515/9781478012993 $S0 208@/01 $a07-03-25 $bl lok: 52791153 51 exp: 52791153 51 1 #EPN 201B/01 $008-03-25 $t00:06:24.801 201C/01 $007-03-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01294640186 204P/01 $010.1515/9781478012993 $S0 208@/01 $a07-03-25 $bl lok: 52791153 59 exp: 52791153 59 1 #EPN 201B/01 $008-03-25 $t00:06:24.807 201C/01 $007-03-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01294640208 204P/01 $010.1515/9781478012993 $S0 208@/01 $a07-03-25 $bl lok: 52791153 75 exp: 52791153 75 1 #EPN 201B/01 $008-03-25 $t00:06:24.809 201C/01 $007-03-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01294640216 204P/01 $010.1515/9781478012993 $S0 208@/01 $a07-03-25 $bl lok: 52791153 107 exp: 52791153 107 1 #EPN 201B/01 $008-03-25 $t00:06:24.812 201C/01 $007-03-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01294640224 204P/01 $010.1515/9781478012993 $S0 208@/01 $a07-03-25 $bl lok: 52791153 108 exp: 52791153 108 1 #EPN 201B/01 $008-03-25 $t00:06:24.814 201C/01 $007-03-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01294640232 204P/01 $010.1515/9781478012993 $S0 208@/01 $a07-03-25 $bl lok: 52791153 204 exp: 52791153 204 1 #EPN 201B/01 $008-03-25 $t00:06:24.816 201C/01 $007-03-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01294640240 204P/01 $010.1515/9781478012993 $S0 208@/01 $a07-03-25 $bl lok: 52791153 205 exp: 52791153 205 1 #EPN 201B/01 $007-03-25 $t09:47:28.000 201C/01 $007-03-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01294585460 204P/01 $010.1515/9781478012993 208@/01 $a07-03-25 $bo 209B/01 $aebo $x05 209B/01 $adeb $x06 237A/01 $aE-Book ggfs. nicht dauerhaft im Bestand.
