Die Fraglosigkeit des nationalstaatlich vorgegebenen Weltverständnisses ist zugleich in der globalisierten und postkolonialen Welt durch Öffnungsprozesse in eine grundlegende Krise geraten. Es handelt sich hierbei nicht allein um eine funktionale, sondern auch um eine normativ-legitimatorische Krise des Prinzips der Nationalstaatlichkeit, da nicht zuletzt aufgrund von Migrationsbewegungen und des Anspruchs, der mittels dieser Bewegungen formuliert wird, vermehrt ins Bewusstsein tritt, dass der Nationalstaat als demokratische Form auf normativen Grundlagen beruht, denen er selbst nur eingeschränkt entspricht. Nachdem im Beitrag dieser Zusammenhang erläutert wird, wenden wir uns der Frage zu, was daraus für politische Bildung ... 047I $aAbstract: The nation-state still embodies the form of political order that most clearly safe-guards the principle of the rule of law, at least for the national internal sphere and for those privileged in this sphere. At the same time, the unquestionability of the nation-state's understanding of the world has brought about a fundamental crisis in the globalized and postcolonial world because of processes of liberalisation. This is not only a functional but also a normative-legitimatory crisis of the principle of the nation-state since there is an increasing awareness that the nation-state as a democratic form is based on normative foundations to which it corresponds only to a limited extent. This is in no small part due to migration movements and the claims formulated by means of these movements.
