Yet, the existence of various subnational groups is inevitable in democratic states. The scope of separatism and regionalism in Europe is quite wide. It includes de facto states, such as Kosovo, Transnistria, and North Cyprus; strong separatist movements aimed at achieving independence, like Catalonia, Basque Country, Scotland, Flanders, and Faroe Islands; strong movements aimed at achieving a more regional autonomy, for example, Lombardy and Veneto; and weaker regional movements, which could potentially escalate in the future, such as Transylvania in Romania or Vojvodina in Serbia. This edited volume tackles all the above-mentioned regional moments and even includes Greenland as a bonus. It brings together seventeen prominent scholars from a wide range of European and North American academic institutions who compiled ten chapters to shed light on the revival of regionalism and separatism via a thorough evaluation and analysis of some of the most important current separatist and regionalist/autonomist movements across modern Europe. Chris Kostov is an Adjunct Professor in the School of International Relations at IE University Madrid, Spain. He earned his PhD in History and Canadian Studies from the University of Ottawa, Canada. His main academic interests include Balkan and modern European nationalism and Communist repressions in Cold War Eastern Europe. lok: 53028418 3 exp: 53028418 3 1 #EPN 201B/01 $006-06-25 $t05:55:18.201 201C/01 $006-06-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01305440838 208@/01 $a06-06-25 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://openresearchlibrary.org/content/e970399c-64f9-4d8f-8a0e-4214f57f0ad9 $XH lok: 53028418 5 exp: 53028418 5 1 #EPN 201B/01 $006-06-25 $t05:55:18.204 201C/01 $006-06-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01305440846 208@/01 $a06-06-25 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://openresearchlibrary.org/content/e970399c-64f9-4d8f-8a0e-4214f57f0ad9 $XH lok: 53028418 8 exp: 53028418 8 1 #EPN 201B/01 $006-06-25 $t05:55:18.207 201C/01 $006-06-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01305440854 208@/01 $a06-06-25 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://openresearchlibrary.org/content/e970399c-64f9-4d8f-8a0e-4214f57f0ad9 $XH lok: 53028418 10 exp: 53028418 10 1 #EPN 201B/01 $006-06-25 $t05:55:18.210 201C/01 $006-06-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01305440862 208@/01 $a06-06-25 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://openresearchlibrary.org/content/e970399c-64f9-4d8f-8a0e-4214f57f0ad9 $XH lok: 53028418 11 exp: 53028418 11 1 #EPN 201B/01 $008-06-25 $t00:46:25.115 201C/01 $007-06-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01306888999 208@/01 $a07-06-25 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://openresearchlibrary.org/content/e970399c-64f9-4d8f-8a0e-4214f57f0ad9 $XH lok: 53028418 20 exp: 53028418 20 1 #EPN 201B/01 $008-06-25 $t00:46:25.118 201C/01 $007-06-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01306889006 208@/01 $a07-06-25 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://openresearchlibrary.org/content/e970399c-64f9-4d8f-8a0e-4214f57f0ad9 $XH lok: 53028418 21 exp: 53028418 21 1 #EPN 201B/01 $006-06-25 $t05:55:18.213 201C/01 $006-06-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01305440870 208@/01 $a06-06-25 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://openresearchlibrary.org/content/e970399c-64f9-4d8f-8a0e-4214f57f0ad9 $XH lok: 53028418 23 exp: 53028418 23 1 #EPN 201B/01 $006-06-25 $t05:55:18.215 201C/01 $006-06-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01305440889 208@/01 $a06-06-25 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://openresearchlibrary.org/content/e970399c-64f9-4d8f-8a0e-4214f57f0ad9 $XH lok: 53028418 24 exp: 53028418 24 1 #EPN 201B/01 $008-06-25 $t00:46:25.120 201C/01 $007-06-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01306889014 208@/01 $a07-06-25 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://openresearchlibrary.org/content/e970399c-64f9-4d8f-8a0e-4214f57f0ad9 $XH lok: 53028418 25 exp: 53028418 25 1 #EPN 201B/01 $006-06-25 $t05:55:18.218 201C/01 $006-06-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01305440897 208@/01 $a06-06-25 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://openresearchlibrary.org/content/e970399c-64f9-4d8f-8a0e-4214f57f0ad9 $XH lok: 53028418 36 exp: 53028418 36 1 #EPN 201B/01 $008-06-25 $t00:46:25.123 201C/01 $007-06-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01306889022 208@/01 $a07-06-25 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://openresearchlibrary.org/content/e970399c-64f9-4d8f-8a0e-4214f57f0ad9 $XH lok: 53028418 49 exp: 53028418 49 1 #EPN 201B/01 $008-06-25 $t00:46:25.125 201C/01 $007-06-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01306889030 208@/01 $a07-06-25 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://openresearchlibrary.org/content/e970399c-64f9-4d8f-8a0e-4214f57f0ad9 $XH lok: 53028418 54 exp: 53028418 54 1 #EPN 201B/01 $008-06-25 $t00:46:25.128 201C/01 $007-06-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01306889049 208@/01 $a07-06-25 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://openresearchlibrary.org/content/e970399c-64f9-4d8f-8a0e-4214f57f0ad9 $XH lok: 53028418 108 exp: 53028418 108 1 #EPN 201B/01 $008-06-25 $t00:46:25.130 201C/01 $007-06-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01306889057 208@/01 $a07-06-25 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://openresearchlibrary.org/content/e970399c-64f9-4d8f-8a0e-4214f57f0ad9 $XH lok: 53028418 204 exp: 53028418 204 1 #EPN 201B/01 $006-06-25 $t05:55:18.221 201C/01 $006-06-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01305440900 208@/01 $a06-06-25 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://openresearchlibrary.org/content/e970399c-64f9-4d8f-8a0e-4214f57f0ad9 $XH lok: 53028418 205 exp: 53028418 205 1 #EPN 201B/01 $006-06-25 $t05:55:18.224 201C/01 $006-06-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01305440919 208@/01 $a06-06-25 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://openresearchlibrary.org/content/e970399c-64f9-4d8f-8a0e-4214f57f0ad9 $XH
