In view of the long tradition of art song in the German-speaking world, the use of German in translation practice is of particular interest. Sigmund Kvam has examined German translations of Norwegian and Danish art songs by the composer Edvard Grieg. On the basis of functional translation theory, he specifies the characteristics of this particular translation context and demonstrates the special use of linguistic rules in the translation process, focusing on text linguistics, syntax, topology, morphology and lexis. His findings are just as fruitful for linguistics and translation studies as they are for singers. The possible consequences for the singability of translated art songs are particularly relevant here. lok: 53107012 3 exp: 53107012 3 1 #EPN 201B/01 $029-06-25 $t22:42:24.582 201C/01 $029-06-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01310116482 208@/01 $a29-06-25 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/86401 $XR lok: 53107012 5 exp: 53107012 5 1 #EPN 201B/01 $029-06-25 $t22:42:24.586 201C/01 $029-06-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01310116490 208@/01 $a29-06-25 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/86401 $XR lok: 53107012 8 exp: 53107012 8 1 #EPN 201B/01 $029-06-25 $t22:42:24.588 201C/01 $029-06-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01310116504 208@/01 $a29-06-25 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/86401 $XR lok: 53107012 10 exp: 53107012 10 1 #EPN 201B/01 $029-06-25 $t22:42:24.591 201C/01 $029-06-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01310116512 208@/01 $a29-06-25 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/86401 $XR lok: 53107012 11 exp: 53107012 11 1 #EPN 201B/01 $029-06-25 $t22:42:24.594 201C/01 $029-06-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01310116520 208@/01 $a29-06-25 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/86401 $XR lok: 53107012 13 exp: 53107012 13 1 #EPN 201B/01 $029-06-25 $t22:42:24.597 201C/01 $029-06-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01310116539 208@/01 $a29-06-25 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/86401 $XR lok: 53107012 20 exp: 53107012 20 1 #EPN 201B/01 $029-06-25 $t22:42:24.600 201C/01 $029-06-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01310116547 208@/01 $a29-06-25 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/86401 $XR lok: 53107012 21 exp: 53107012 21 1 #EPN 201B/01 $029-06-25 $t22:42:24.603 201C/01 $029-06-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01310116555 208@/01 $a29-06-25 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/86401 $XR lok: 53107012 23 exp: 53107012 23 1 #EPN 201B/01 $029-06-25 $t22:42:24.606 201C/01 $029-06-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01310116563 208@/01 $a29-06-25 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/86401 $XR lok: 53107012 24 exp: 53107012 24 1 #EPN 201B/01 $029-06-25 $t22:42:24.608 201C/01 $029-06-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01310116571 208@/01 $a29-06-25 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/86401 $XR lok: 53107012 25 exp: 53107012 25 1 #EPN 201B/01 $029-06-25 $t22:42:24.610 201C/01 $029-06-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0131011658X 208@/01 $a29-06-25 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/86401 $XR lok: 53107012 49 exp: 53107012 49 1 #EPN 201B/01 $029-06-25 $t22:42:24.612 201C/01 $029-06-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01310116598 208@/01 $a29-06-25 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/86401 $XR lok: 53107012 51 exp: 53107012 51 1 #EPN 201B/01 $029-06-25 $t22:42:24.615 201C/01 $029-06-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01310116601 208@/01 $a29-06-25 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/86401 $XR lok: 53107012 76 exp: 53107012 76 1 #EPN 201B/01 $029-06-25 $t22:42:24.617 201C/01 $029-06-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0131011661X 208@/01 $a29-06-25 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/86401 $XR lok: 53107012 77 exp: 53107012 77 1 #EPN 201B/01 $029-06-25 $t22:42:24.620 201C/01 $029-06-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01310116628 208@/01 $a29-06-25 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/86401 $XR lok: 53107012 107 exp: 53107012 107 1 #EPN 201B/01 $029-06-25 $t22:42:24.622 201C/01 $029-06-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01310116636 208@/01 $a29-06-25 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/86401 $XR lok: 53107012 108 exp: 53107012 108 1 #EPN 201B/01 $029-06-25 $t22:42:24.624 201C/01 $029-06-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01310116644 208@/01 $a29-06-25 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/86401 $XR lok: 53107012 204 exp: 53107012 204 1 #EPN 201B/01 $029-06-25 $t22:42:24.626 201C/01 $029-06-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01310116652 208@/01 $a29-06-25 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/86401 $XR lok: 53107012 205 exp: 53107012 205 1 #EPN 201B/01 $029-06-25 $t22:42:24.629 201C/01 $029-06-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01310116660 208@/01 $a29-06-25 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/86401 $XR
