Ten monumental buildings, 273 tombs and other structures from the Hafit (3100-2700 BC) and Umm an-Nar periods (2700-2000 BC) were documented here. This makes Al-Khashbah ideally suited for the investigation of the beginnings of complex settlements and social structures in northern Inner Oman at the transition from the 4th to the 3rd millennium BC, because many of the achievements previously attributed to the Umm an-Nar period, such as monumental architecture and the smelting of copper, can already be proven here in the preceding Hafit period. In the Umm an-Nar period, the development of Al-Khashbah continues steadily, giving the site additional importance. According to the results of the survey, however, copper production at the site no longer seems to play a role in this period. From the epochs of the 2nd and 1st millennium BC as well as the 1st and 2nd millennium AD, which followed the Early Bronze Age, there are extremely few findings in Al-Khashbah. It was not until the 18th-20th centuries AD that the site experienced an intensive revival, as evidenced in particular by the old mud-brick settlement in the north of the palm oasis, a small settlement in the east of the study area, a number of irrigation systems, several cemeteries, petroglyphs and numerous Late Islamic pottery sherds found on the surface."... lok: 53408901 3 exp: 53408901 3 1 #EPN 201B/01 $007-10-25 $t22:37:10.150 201C/01 $007-10-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01318811694 208@/01 $a07-10-25 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/jj.14638155 $XH lok: 53408901 5 exp: 53408901 5 1 #EPN 201B/01 $007-10-25 $t22:37:10.154 201C/01 $007-10-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01318811708 208@/01 $a07-10-25 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/jj.14638155 $XH lok: 53408901 8 exp: 53408901 8 1 #EPN 201B/01 $007-10-25 $t22:37:10.157 201C/01 $007-10-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01318811716 208@/01 $a07-10-25 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/jj.14638155 $XH lok: 53408901 10 exp: 53408901 10 1 #EPN 201B/01 $007-10-25 $t22:37:10.160 201C/01 $007-10-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01318811724 208@/01 $a07-10-25 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/jj.14638155 $XH lok: 53408901 11 exp: 53408901 11 1 #EPN 201B/01 $011-10-25 $t21:52:44.326 201C/01 $011-10-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01319841031 208@/01 $a11-10-25 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/jj.14638155 $XH lok: 53408901 13 exp: 53408901 13 1 #EPN 201B/01 $011-10-25 $t21:52:44.330 201C/01 $011-10-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0131984104X 208@/01 $a11-10-25 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/jj.14638155 $XH lok: 53408901 21 exp: 53408901 21 1 #EPN 201B/01 $007-10-25 $t22:37:10.163 201C/01 $007-10-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01318811732 208@/01 $a07-10-25 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/jj.14638155 $XH lok: 53408901 23 exp: 53408901 23 1 #EPN 201B/01 $007-10-25 $t22:37:10.165 201C/01 $007-10-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01318811740 208@/01 $a07-10-25 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/jj.14638155 $XH lok: 53408901 24 exp: 53408901 24 1 #EPN 201B/01 $011-10-25 $t21:52:44.334 201C/01 $011-10-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01319841058 208@/01 $a11-10-25 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/jj.14638155 $XH lok: 53408901 25 exp: 53408901 25 1 #EPN 201B/01 $007-10-25 $t22:37:10.168 201C/01 $007-10-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01318811759 208@/01 $a07-10-25 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/jj.14638155 $XH lok: 53408901 36 exp: 53408901 36 1 #EPN 201B/01 $011-10-25 $t21:52:44.337 201C/01 $011-10-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01319841066 208@/01 $a11-10-25 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/jj.14638155 $XH lok: 53408901 54 exp: 53408901 54 1 #EPN 201B/01 $011-10-25 $t21:52:44.340 201C/01 $011-10-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01319841074 208@/01 $a11-10-25 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/jj.14638155 $XH lok: 53408901 71 exp: 53408901 71 1 #EPN 201B/01 $011-10-25 $t21:52:44.343 201C/01 $011-10-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01319841082 208@/01 $a11-10-25 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/jj.14638155 $XH lok: 53408901 75 exp: 53408901 75 1 #EPN 201B/01 $011-10-25 $t21:52:44.346 201C/01 $011-10-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01319841090 208@/01 $a11-10-25 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/jj.14638155 $XH lok: 53408901 107 exp: 53408901 107 1 #EPN 201B/01 $011-10-25 $t21:52:44.348 201C/01 $011-10-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01319841104 208@/01 $a11-10-25 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/jj.14638155 $XH lok: 53408901 204 exp: 53408901 204 1 #EPN 201B/01 $007-10-25 $t22:37:10.170 201C/01 $007-10-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01318811767 208@/01 $a07-10-25 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/jj.14638155 $XH lok: 53408901 205 exp: 53408901 205 1 #EPN 201B/01 $007-10-25 $t22:37:10.172 201C/01 $007-10-25 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01318811775 208@/01 $a07-10-25 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/jj.14638155 $XH
