Hannah Arendt's passionate thinking is reflected in her work, among other things, through the frequent mention of emotional phenomena such as anger, love, courage, or compassion. However, this affective dimension of her argument has not yet been systematically examined. Héla Hecker argues that Arendt does not view feelings and affects as inherently apolitical, but rather as expressions that can either open up or close off the world, reflecting a fundamentally human susceptibility.
